The 3MR trigger assembly for an AR-15/AR-10 with an ambidextrous selector is compatible with weapons using AR-15/AR-10 small pin .154″ mil-spec style fire control groups. The 3MR is a drop-in 3-mode fire control system with Safe, Semi-Automatic, and Tac-Con™’s patented 3rd Mode. The 3rd mode has a positive reset that dramatically reduces the split times between shots. The positive reset characteristic is achieved by transferring the force from the bolt carrier through the trigger assembly to assist the trigger back onto the front sear. As a result, this gives the firearm the fastest reset possible. Both semi and 3rd mode positions exhibit a non-adjustable 4.5 pound trigger pull weight. * Comes with two (2) springs ATF Compliance Letter

1 review for Tac-Con – 3MR w/Ambidextrous Selector

  1. C.D.

The ambidextrous safety comes with three different right side thumb selector controls. I required the smallest and thinnest. I started with the largest and was “bumping” the selector between Fire and Tac-Con mode during reloading. Doing this “locks out” the trigger until moved back into Fire position. This was not a problem in Tac-Con mode. Changing to the smallest/thinist resolved the issue. Operation in the left hand mode was no issues. Kudos to Tac-Con for supplying three different sizes.

The trigger worked better after an initial break-in after 100 rounds in both the Fire and Tac-Con mode. This included me getting the “feel” of how the trigger functions in Tac-Con mode and getting it into muscle memory.

The trigger is very easy to install since it is a “drop in” trigger.

Overall, the materials and construction of the trigger are excellent. No corners were cut, fit, finish and function were all excellent.
